Short physiogram tutorial

Artie, The physiograms are created by hanging a small flashlight on a string from the ceiling and putting your camera underneath facing up. Turn on the flashlight… darken the room… start the flashlight swinging… and trip the shutter (set to bulb) to record the light trace for as long as you wish.
You have just made a physiogram!
I sometimes alter the process by using gels in front of the lens for differing colors or shooting a series of multiple images of a single swing and putting them together as layers in PS. Then modifying each layer as I wish.
I have also put my camera on a swinging platform and used a stationary light above. It just makes different patterns possible.
That's what happened for this image... and I used it to make the Woof!! composite.
There are all kinds of possible light paintings with these pendulum orbits.
