Reversed my setup and made a swinging platform for the camera - light is fixed above. It seems I can't leave well enough alone. :e3
This allows me to try more variables... and create something like this multi-reversing trace.
Made the main apple with eleven 1 minute exposures of the single swing and combined as layers in PS. This eliminates the need to use gels as I can colorize each exposure/layer as I wish.
Free transformed the main image to create the leaf and stem.

Absolutely marvelous! Love it! This is unique and excellent. One knows immediately that it is an apple, but a very special apple. Love the way you created the "heart" of the apple, the lines leading into and creating the center. The touch of green is just right. I think this is outstanding!
