This was the overexposed third of an HDR image. Sometimes I like the lightest ones better than the finished product. I did an Orton effect twice and then Topaz Adjust Low Key at 30% to bring back a little more color. This is the field beside the Crane pool at Bosque.

Starting with one of the bracketed images was a great idea. Very creative. I've not been to Bosque del Apache (not, yet, anyway), but most of the images I've seen in the past have starred the wildfowl. You've demonstrated that there's a lot more to it than that.
