Oak Leaves in the Snow

I used Topaz Adjust and Simplify and Nik Color Efex TC and Vignette and added snow, but I refined the technique so the flakes show up better. I used much less motion blur on a duplicate layer for one thing. I think the other method was too blurry and literally almost disappeared on this image. Let me know if you like this snow. I chose not to do the crystallize filter on them. BTW it was snowing when I made the photo but I used the 100 - 400 and the trees were in the back of the yard so it was just hazy looking with no flakes showing, but I got rid of some of the haze with the filters.

I always like snow on oak leaves, so this image was appealing right away. The composition is great, and the falling snow is convincing. You did fine with it. The white vignette fits with the snow, but I wonder how it would work toned down a bit.

I like everything about the repost. Your snow technique is just super. I agree with Denise that the original had just a touch of a bulls eye, and the repost has a much better look. Thanks for sharing.

I love how Oak leaves hang on a bit longer than most, so they can catch some snow. Nice work with the snowflakes. I like the toned down vignette.
