These chairs are in my next door neighbor's yard. She had spray painted them the summer before I think... This was our last snow event almost 2 years ago. I had to do some toning down of the driveway and road at the top by painting over it with white and after using Topaz Adjust on the master image, I used Topaz Simplify 4 and used the Smooth brush on the background area.
Nice job with the exposure, perspective, and composition. The shadows are great, and the amount of snow on the chairs is just right.
I'm aware that Simplify has a Smooth brush, but that's as much as I know about it. I better go shopping for some herbs. There's not enough thyme to keep up with everything.
LOL, thanks Dennis! I had never used the smooth brush before but there is a chain link fence in the far right background and Simplify with increased detail and structure brought it out where before it was pretty much invisible, so I was going to erase that part but in that panel I found smooth and tried it and it worked.
Judy, Great eye for this one. Love the colors and the image design! It would make a great holiday card with a caption like" waiting for friends to visit this holiday season"
Thanks Denise! That's a great caption! I was lucky she had the chairs arranged like that in that location. She has now moved them to an un-photogenic location right next to the chain link fence.
Hi Judy, it's colorful and different! I thinks it stands out in white snow and clean bg. Well seen and processed!
See, that's why I love to come to BPN....see great photos and learn, too. I'll check out that smooth brush. Looks like it did a much better job than the blur tool in PS.
Love the contrast of the colors to the snow and how you worked it all out. Wish that big lump of snow wasn't there, but hey, that's Mother Nature. Nice post
I appreciate the nice comment Hazel! The lump is actually a big rock with snow on top. Don't know why she put a rock there! Maybe I can remove it. Oh, I did expand the canvas on the left. Cropped tight to avoid a big pecan tree there.

Hi Judy, love the colors. It is often hard to find color in winter, but this is a great way to introduce some color. Great eye! maybe they would let you move the chairs to a more photogenic location when there is a storm approaching :S3:
