The 8 mile winding road from Townsend up to Caves Code has many photo opportunities. The weather from Sandy was nasty, wet, dreary and foggy, but ripe with some interesting lighting. I used a pretty long shutter speed to get some softness in the water. I processed this image with the same Simplify formula as the last image I posted. The preset is strong on edge treatment (+2 to +2.75) and strong on light and contrast sliders. Simplify setting was about 30%, with Details slider fairly high, Features slider low. It left the image with a fair amount of strong-edge features that I had tone down, but you can still see a bit, especially in the bright areas, which also appear to be bleached. I found the result worth posting for some feedback. I cropped some unneeded detail from the right. Hope you like it..........Still not 100% sure on the crop or the overall lighting levels.
Comments welcome.

Jay, I am really loving this effect! Very cool and unique look. I think that the crop is nice, I might take a sliver off the bottom or evict the tiny white piece on the edge. I also might tone down the white on the right edge just because it pulls my eye because it seems to have a lot of detail and is so bright- that said I actually like the white detailed areas within the scene.

Jay, this effect you're using is magical! And thanks for sharing your workflow with us. I agree with Denise on a slight crop from the bottom (leaving the rock with the grass above it as the bottom most element). I hope you've got more of these:S3:

Unique and beautiful, Jay. For me, it has a delicate, oriental or perhaps a bit of an infrared quality. Agree, that the white on the edges draw me away a bit. In any case, it's one of those images I can stare at for a long time and enjoy.

Appreciate the feedback on this one. I wasn't 100% on the OP, but I like it better with the suggestions mentioned. Here it is.............maybe still a bit of tuning, but close.

Beautiful, beautiful image. The processing is excellent. This has a magical feel to it. Love the silver tones, and the pinkish red. I keep wanting to do a bit of a clockwise rotation. Wonderful work.
