Because of accurate and appreciated comments re the darkness of the batter/catcher, I tried to work on that and was somewhat successful, but then thought maybe I should check other photos taken at that game. I found this one of another pitch and think it works much better re the batter contrast and also shows the ball much better because it is lower. Same treatment of watercolor effect in Topaz Simplify plus some minor tweaks.

You did find a better image. Good for you. The batter is nicely lit, showing us who you are thankful for. The batter/ catcher/umpire are also nicely lit. The red lines work well to guide one through the image. I can feel the tension.
