One from several weeks ago on the Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend. I was walking back down the laneway to the cottage and the browns of the autumn interrupted fern frond caught my eye. So I picked up a sugar maple leaf that did not appear to beat up and placed it on the frond for a touch of color and then fracted it. I used the 'Glow 100' preset and then clicked on the asterisk-like thingys to turn the white lines to black. The fractalius was added to a duplicate layer and then opacity was reduced to taste.
Look forward to comments.

Very nicely done. The colors work really well together, the composition is good, and both the fern and leaf would be great on their own. You did a great job staging, photographing and processing this.
Thanks for mentioning about clicking the thingys. I had no idea they toggled back and forth.

I think it is well done as well, and the textures and colors are quite good. The only think I personally would have liked more is a greater DOF in the original photo. so that fronds in the back were not blurred.

Andrew, this is a beautiful composition with lovely colors. The fract works well on the leaves. I love the asterisk "thingeys" - I can never figure out what I'm going to get. I've been too busy lately to fiddle around with the new Fractalius upgrade and it seems like most of my favorite presets are gone.

I love the composition and the colors. The fract work is perfect and really brings out the details in the leaf and fronds.

Very nice presentation Andrew, I like the frac effect on the leaves that the maple is resting on, leaves have all but dissappeared around here.
My 21 year old furnace bit the dust, tomorrow I have to scramble to get parts...quick repair, assuming I can still find parts.

Beautiful image. The details of the fern stand out and caught my attention right away. I like the red on red. The sugar maple leaf adds just the right touch for contrast and interest. I wish the upper left corner were not dark. Excellent processing.
