Abstract Blur

I just can't resist doing blurs whenever I go someplace. I was at the Harn Museum to look at a new photography exhibit. The back of the building had some really nice blue lights recessed in the wall with some almost bare crape myrtles in front so I had a go at it:S3: It reminds me of something you might see in Santa Fe New Mexico. (After one too many beers:S3:)

Nice blur, Cheryl. I like the blue and yellow color combination, too. Because it's so abstract, there's no reason not to try other orientations. I'm wondering if I'd prefer a 180-degree rotation with the blue lights and the branches making diagonal from the upper left toward the lower right. It might, also, better ground the image with the darker colors at the bottom. Then again, maybe not. It looks good the way it is.

I like it as is. And those blue spots add just the right bits of color change to pop.

It's wonderful how someone else's impression can reveal possibilities. Having read your interpretation, I can see a couple tall yellow buildings flanking a city park. With luminaries, yes. And it does make sense that the snow's on the ground.

Very nice abstract, Cheryl. I like how you composed it... the blue patches are perfect!
