Bob, This is very different and interesting. I love the base image too. If it were mine I might evict the front hat or move it slightly right.
Certainly makes you stop and think for a moment. I like the creativity and agree with Denise about the front hat. The base shot sure does capture the movement of the water quite well.
Bob, this is a very surreal image to me. If anything I would add a little canvas at the bottom to give the first hat a little room:S3:
