Adult female or immature vying for a spot on the feeder. I sit inside the house and shoot through the open windows. Nice & convenient for feeder birds! I was really waiting for the Stellar's Jays and noticed the commotion of the finches and siskins and thought I would try for some action.

C & C most appreciated.

Nancy:
I like the image design, the balance of bird and foliage, the strong sense of motion from the blur. However, I think it would have been stronger overall with a faster shutter speed to render more of the bird sharp. I believe your camera would easily tolerate a higher ISO setting to allow faster shutter speed.
Colors are very nice as well.

The background and framing leaves are both nice. I agree with Randy on shutter speed, 1/250 is a bit slow for sharp BIF, though I like the partial blur to an extent. I think a bit less contrast might help as well.
Sounds like a nice set up you have going.

I think the partial blur is nice here, but I think the head suffered from some sharpness due to the slower shutter speed. Otherwise, very nice balance and composition

I agree a higher shutter speed would produce sharper results. I plan on practicing more on the birds approaching the feeders. Here is a repost with reduced contrast. Good suggestion, thanks.

I like the repost better, Nancy. I appreciate what you were going for here. Sounds like you have a great set up and you'll be able to nail it with more SS. What a lovely background you have here. Looking forward to more.
