Taken locally a few days ago. I felt that the flowers were as much a part of the image as the bird, so I cropped it loosely to include some.
D7000, 300 +1.7TC. Hand-held. Pattern metering. 1/1250, f/6.7, ISO1600 ( a dull day, so high shutter speed, so high ISO.). Some histogram adjustments in LR. Noise Ninja applied to bg. Taken a few seconds after the Bobolink I posted the other day.

very sweet I like the pose perch and BG. maybe a slight crop from the bottom and more sharpening on the bird?

Love the yellow and purples together and a lovely BG.
I would crop it a bit more from the bottom- to the bottom of the big flower. That would give you a squarish crop, so if you have it I would add a bit more at the top.

Great colors and detail. I am going to agree about a little cropping as I feel the flower may be a little overpowering as posted. Maybe just above the green stems.
Agree about the crop, but a wonderfully vibrant image of both bird and flowers, though the bird is a little soft and the yellows have melded a little, looks like a perfect image for a nice greeting card or the like

Stunning bird. Gorgeous shot and complimentary colours. Wonderful perch !!, couldn't want for any better. Cropping, phew I'll leave that to those that know.

Great colors and pose. I agree about the crop from below. An alternative would have been to stop down more to get more dof and more of the flowers in focus, but it sounds like there might not have been enough light. I also agree with a bit more sharpening on the warbler.

Lovely bird, pose and perch. Agree that you may wish to try a few different crops. The bird could use a tad more sharpening. Colors here are really gorgeous.
Fantastic colors and beautiful soft light. I agree with the others about sharpening the birds a little more. Otherwise a stunning shot, fantastic BG and great perch.

Very nice photo and I agree completely with the crop. Would like to see a little more contrast in the flowers.
