Rachel,
Never seen one of these let alone two, looks pretty good to me

I like seeing both of them together in the frame against that gorgeous blue BG. I would consider burning the top of the rock a little. I brought this image into Viveza and lowered the brightness and added structure to the back puffin's white chest which appears to be hot. It really made quite a difference, and I think you would be happy with the results. If you don't have Viveza, try the Burn tool.

Superb Rachel, love the rich blue's in the BG. Getting two of them is a bonus. I agree with some burning the top of rock and a little on whites TFS.

Hi Rachel, love the opposite poses, and the casual 'hanging' foot of the puffin on our right. Central placement works well, and both pop nicely against the sea BG.
I would love to see these guys in real life, and bring back a few images.

Good job with the harsh light. Good DOF too.

Great BG as usual, Rachel and you handled the light very well in this one.
Fantastic subjects! Your use of small apertures really works well to get the details.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. I'll burn the rock and the one on the left a little bit more.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Tough exposure situation and you've handled best you could. Love the foot clinging the rock! I like Marina's suggestion, plus I'm really missing a catclight or reflection or visible iris on the left bird's eye.

I like the foot hanging over the edge of the rock.
Good BG and I like the 2 different poses of the puffins.
I agree with Marina re: whites on the chest and Daniel re:catchlight,
