I loved this image Dan...Beautiful wing position, exposure, sharpness, flight angle and BG. Little tight in frame if mine I would leave some more space at top and on either side of bird.
nice image Dan,good details,nice pose,agree on a bit more room.thanks.
Agree about the space, and certainly agree the wing form is extra nice...sharp, great clear eye and such lovely " Blue Pacific " backdrop, nice work
Dan - this really pops off the screen. Nice wing position, angle and the blue sea is great. Agree about a little more room.

Rachel
Wonderful image, Sir. Great pose with lovely wing position and sharpness.Beautiful blue BG.Loved the details in whites. Would love to see it in panorama- crop.
I go through phases that involve obsessive picture-taking of gulls. To me, they are beautiful in all plumages and times of year. I like your shot here: great details in the whites, nice views of both wings. The background is pleasant as well.
Except for the tightness top and left this is excellent. Great IQ, wing position. Beautiful exposure and BG.

I agree the comp is tight, but great techs, details, processing. Did you lighten some of the feathers under the wing?
Thanks for the comments. It is tight because it was close, this is 75% of FF, so it could have been looser but centered.
Daniel, good eye, I did lighten the underside a bit and got some noise.
Very nice shot Dan. Lovely light, exposed very well, excellent flight pose, I really like the water color, and excellent details.
Very well done.
Gorgeous Western Gull in flight image. Love the size of this species, and the size of the bird in the frame is
perfect imo. I think there's waaaaaay too much pooh pooing of centering a subject in avian forums. I think
centering the subject a bit more here makes perfect visual sense.
