Corn Bunting
Captured in Beseiros Do Cima, Central Portugal this June
These lively birds are to be heard singing from all over the Alentejo region and beyond and are very numerous.
I was pleased to get this one posing in an open position

Composition, perch, and BG are all very nice. The bird is OK, but its' eye is in dire need of a catchlight or reflection to make it look "alive"

Richard, the repost with the catchlight indicate that it was put in later as you just did.
I would first make a selection of the eye, put it on a separate layer and then would use linear dodge to see if there is any natural reflection.
If not, I would put a smaller, less obvious catchlight into the eye.
Other that that, the picture is very nice. Love the datails and pose.

nice image,great BG,like the perch and pose,agree the eye looks dead.thanks.
I think the added catchlight looks in size, it just shouldn't be square. It does improve the look pf the subject alot!
