I have gone back in my files to find posts to see me through until the weather is less unpleasant; trying to stalk birds in temperatures hovering around 100f is beyond me. This is a brown pelican coming in to land on a dock on Asena Key by Cedar Key in Levy county, Florida. It was one of the last pictures I took with my D80, using a nikkor 70-300mm f4 lens, and apart from cropping out the edge of the dock, it is unmanipulated and the bird is wild, although they are used to people in this area.
