Another image from series of shots of this Juvenile Piping Plover.
I did not get similar opportunity on my following shoots so posting another one from same evening..hope you all like it. I am not sure if I should keep or get rid of highlights in BG so please let me know.
PP - Cropped, NR on BG, Sharpened and added slight canvas at bottom and cloned few bright spots in BG.

Hi Maya, good low angle, and you have brought out the feather detail nicely. The falling droplets adds a nice touch. I feel the image needs a slight CW rotation, and if anything, I would only remove the larger highlights in the top of the BG.

Very nice shot. I really like the pose, love the light and the water drops. Excellent detail and I agree with Stuart on the highlights.

Very nice light.
I like the low POV and intimacy of the image.
Needs some CW rotation.
I would definitely get rid of the large specular highlights above the head and along the top of the frame.
Well done,
Gail
PS I would also get rid of the highlight on the beak

Agree about it needing a slight rotation, but not fussed about the background highlights, I rather like them ? Sweet bird, and sweet pose with lovely light

I agree with Phil, the spectral highlight make me feel like it's morning with the sun just coming up. If anything, I'd get rid of the big ones at the TLC. Otherwise, it's a great shot, you've held the highlights well, very nice detail, the water droplet adds to the serene feeling, very nice light.

Agree with the CW rotation.
I personally like those OOF highlights in the background...

Another vote for getting rid of the larger specular highlights. Agree about rotation but these are small nits for a very nice overall image.

Rachel

This is very nice, Maya. You've been nailing these bathing plover shots.
Love the comp, expo, light and IQ.
+1 to evicting the specular highlights from the BG and to the CW rotation.
