Photographed this Marmots in Austria in Hohe Tauern Nationalpark, they are quite used to people so it is easy to get close.Sometimes they become aggressive ,because they expect that you feed them.If you do not feed them ,sometimes they bite you.I was lying on my belly to photograph them, concentrated on my subject, another subject just bit me in my leg !!!!!
That is human impact on animals.

Hi Andreas, works well, like the Marmot looking R to L, with the other one looking out in the opposite direction. Glad you got close enough, the ones under the Eiger are very skittish. Good detail where it counts, nicely composed and I also like the way the bank slopes down to the right, echoing the back of the marmot in the FG. Any shots of them standing upright, acting as sentries?

Thanks guys,
for watching and leaving a comment!
Steve - i have one single image what you suggested.Post it later.I have been up there only for 3 hours in late morning so light was already harsh and conditions due to that circumstance have everything but not ideal in our thinking .But at least i got some shots.

Wonderful shot, the 2nd marmot one makes this great.
Near Grossglockner? I was there a few days ago after giving a talk on raptor conservation in Malnitz.
Have to go back there to spend more time with those cute guys.

missed this - nice one Andreas. I like the opposing poses of the 2. Well exposed in what looks like harsh-ish light.
