This was taken on last weekend at Nickerson. Light was harsh when I took this and I personally did not like the flat sky as BG but could not capture any similar pose against water or grass as BG...let me know if it works for you.
Hi Sachin,
I love the pose and the open beak. There is something not right about the IQ of this image. There is a significant lack of detail especially around the head.
This one is not up to your usual standard IMHO!

Thanks for pointing it out Gail..The IQ isn't best but is acceptable and that's why I posted it but looks like I did something wrong in PP. I will revisit the original and re check.

Sits well in the frame and love the banking posture, not sure how it compared to your other work, but this is quite good for such a relatively large crop

I re did the conversion with another round of sharpening on TIFF file. Please let me know if it looks any better.
I think the re post looks a tad better, a bit crisper and brighter, but the original is very good by itself, personally I dont feel any lack of detail in the head area is important in this style of image, the general sharpness, composition and bright plumage work well anyway

A great in flight capture. Lovely detail and pose! Repost looks even better.
Well done!

Hi Sachin, well, you certainly captured a great inflight pose, and with the open beak. Comparing the two, your OP has more detail on the top of the wings, whereas your repost seems softer in that area. It looks like you havent sharpened your repost as much, as the halo is not visible in the repost. In both, I would try and bring out the eye a touch more.

I do love the banking/calling pose, and love the spread tail feathers. I prefer the repost with smoother BG and lack of sharpening halo, but I agree with Stuart the the tern's back and wing details look better on the OP.
