Hubbard's Sportive Lemur photographed in the Zombitse-Vohibasia National Park,
Madagascar. These nocturnal lemurs spend the day perched in tree forks like
this.
Canon 5D MkIII, EF500 f/4 I + 1.4x, tripod, ISO1600, f/8, 1/40,
shot vertical with slight crop for composition.

Beautiful Lemur, I like his perch and the background. I might crop more off of the bottom and maybe a slight more off of the right.

Hi Simon, great to see a different species and also the results based on the techs, 1/40 very good. I also like the way he subject is 'wedged' between the branches, looking down.
Personally I might have some reservations about certainly cropping anything off the RHS, as it's already tight and if you lose anymore at the foot it may make the image look as if it's falling off the page so to speak, if anything a little off the top perhaps, but cropping is so personal? However, the bark top RH corner doesn't look right to me, as if some NR has been applied. The branches on the LHS are sharp and run parallel I think to the right, hence my query. It might just be that you need to 'reveal' rather than 'conceal' with the mask if anything has been applied.
Hope to see more.

Hi Simon,
good to see another species posted, never been to Madagascar always a wish to go there.
Agree with Steve suggestions and would like to add a color issue .There is too much blue in the bark and in parts on the lemur, easy fixed in PS.
Cheers Andreas

nice sighting here and remarkably sharp for that SS!
I agree with Steve - it almost looks like there was something else OOF in front of the main tree stem?
I think a tweak in midtone contrast will do wonders here

Nice to see a different animal and good suggestions above for taking this to another level.

Simon,
This looks perfectly OK to me, the supposed "problem" area is clearly further away hence the lack of "sharpness"
