I took this this week in-between all the rain we're getting here in the UK. I would really appreciate your comments and thoughts as always on how to improve this if needed. Thanks

Simon an interesting shot. The tern looks rather grey, probably a dull day and surrounding foliage is creating a colour cast but itis sharp and well focused, the background is a little heavy and dark. Maybe warming up and colour correcting would improve presentation.
Nice head angle, and I like the bird well separated from the dark bg. There is definitely a blue cast - the cheek of these guys should really be pretty white. Some warming and brightening - maybe a #85 filter at 20% and a little contrast boost - would help. And I could see it with about half of the piling removed. My personal preferences, of course.
Excellent light and a beautiful BG. There is a color caste which should be an easy fix.
Thanks for the comments and advice. Now it's been pointed out i can see the colour cast now. I really need to watch for these things more carefully. I hope the repost does the bird justice now and improves the whole image. As always, so great advice on this forum, so thanks for the help.
nice one Simon, repost is a lot better, but the eye looks a bit dead, thanks for showing.
Very nice BG, and the insects on the perch make it more interesting. The repost does look better, but I would definitely work on the eye as it looks like there is a membrane covering it. I'm OK with the comp.
