That's beautiful, John. Love the vibrant blue color. At first I wondered about the cut off petal, but the more I look at this, the more I like the composition as it is.
What a lovely bloom. A very nice balance of soft and detail. Like Maureen my first thought was concern for the left side, but again as she states, the more I look the more comfortable I am. Wonderful image.
John, One of my favorites. Your creative composition adds drama to this masterpiece. Perfect blend of details and softness.
I love the vibrant blue color, and as Denise said, the combination of detail and soft glow effect is very effective and well done!
John, this is perfectly beautiful:S3: I love the composition and the soft effect - it gives the poppy a very vulnerable look.
Aren't you fortunate to be able to grow these beauties! Down here in Pennsylvania, we see them only in a greenhouse.
I like the unusual angel you chose. The soft optics lens works well for this. Beautiful processing and colors. There is a little black speck on a petal near the stem that you might clone out.
I'm late to the party...but this is very well done...a nice blend of detail, softness, color and light...beautiful.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and looking in.
Anita, good eye - spot removed! We are indeed fortunate - some of the blue poppies have been in our perennial garden for well over a decade.
Denise, your "Bloomin' Ideas" e-book was an inspiration to re-discover the beauty of flowers! Thanks.
