Photographed this Hare in Joshua Tree NP in the U.S.
Nothing exciting ,but i like it in terms of nice warm colors and the lit through ears with the vaines.

Hi Andreas - I also like how you can see the veins in the ears. That eye is huge. Is it an optical illusion or is one ear much bigger than the other? Nice tones too.

I like this too Andreas! Love the light through the ears and the nice side-light on the face.
Colours and contrast look good too.
Not sure if it's an illusion - but does it look like he's leaning to the right?? Perhaps a VERY slight CW (clockwise) rotation?

Another vote here too Andreas, the ears are great, almost too big in proportion to the body. This animal is either cooperative and comes very close, even too close at times or ridiculously spooked by anything.
The light has created a nice warmth and the ears being side/back lit gives a good insight to the veins in the ears. If you have the image area I might experiment with the slight rotation as Morkel has suggested.
