Chris this is a lovely shot great pose composition and colours.
I suspect your image is pin sharp but the jpeg is lacking a tiny bit of detail, I would suggest a little more sharpening.

Hi Chris, I like how the falcon is posed up against the trunk of the tree, and looking out into the frame. Killer BG, and I agree with Jon for some additional sharpening. If this was mine, I would come in from the right to create more of a vertical.:w3

With an opportunity like that I'm sure lots of us would have taken many, many images like that too! I sure you didn't want to fall off the cliff so it's too bad you could not have moved right to clear the talons from the FG rock.

Chris a nice series of images, was this in a quarry location (M Cove), not that I'm looking for details, just curious as I know they hang out around this location. Apart from the suggestions above, have you tried a portrait crop too?

Looks like it has just been feeding and interesting to see the fuzz on the head. I also like a bit tighter on right and a touch more sharpening. Good for you to get such nice clean habitat type shots.

Like this one as posted. For me, it has a nice illustrative quality that additional sharpening would ruin.
