I made this image last evening just before the sun dipped below the trees at Sunken Meadow State Park on Long Island.

My reason for posting it is to ask for opinions on the head angle. I feel as if a look a bit toward me would have been ideal. Would you keep or toss this one?

Thanks for looking and for your comments.

I'd keep it and wish the bird had turned its head a bit more towards me. Sharp and wondrous light. I would try easing off just a bit on the red and yellow SAT. All in all, you did as well as you could.

I really like the FG and BG very much and the warm light is amazing. I would keep it. Sharpness looks great good job!

I would darken the bill a couple of points with curves.

I agree that the BG and light is great and worth keeping. I might be tempted to try a bit of a tighter crop from the top to strengthen the impact of the bird - but I am happy with the crop presented here.

I really like OOF grass as foreground, even at the expense of the feet ;)
I;d keep it too!
