This Lioness was resting in the shade of a Vehicle facing us. Got this shot from the window of the 4X4. 7D 100-400 L
1/500
f5.6
ISO400
Thanks for looking. C & C welcome.

Hi Sanjeev, I quite like the comp, but it's the stare that makes the image for me, although personally I would have preferred the small part of the other lion not in shot and I doubt even in moving position would have helped, but no deal breaker. I think the image falls into the same camp as the Lion portrait you posted recently.

- I would try to lighten the eyes a fraction more
- Reduce the Red a fraction
- Reduce the Blue, primarily in the gums/mouth area (using a mask for this)
- Apply some more USM, perhaps several rounds depending on personal taste & degree required.

I'm doing this off-site on the laptop so it may not be as accurate as I might like, but may help you?

Steve's repost is very good : it gives a 3D effect to the image. Initial image is very good!

The stare has it...good feedback from Steve ...I would not have noticed the tint to the gums until Steve pointed it out...Repost pops it more

Hi Sanjeev, my part is very simple and something that you can do, the hardest part is what you did, taking the shot & the exposure. :S3:

Really like this portrait, RP is clearly better. Like the clean BG.
