I tend to like these umbrella wing shots and this one is nice. For me in these shots I wish the wings weren't cut off. This would have been great in a vertical with the feet.

All that you needed to do was point the lens far enough left to get the wingtip in with a border... And you had room on the righ to do that. Clipping the wing as you did here is fatal... If you had gone to vertical at that focal length, you would have been dead in the water. I love the feather detail and the excellent exposure. I would get rid of some of the stuff in the water... Well done but for the clipped wing...

Yes, it's a bummer that the wing was clipped. I actually was in portrait mode as I was really close and had to scramble changing to landscape when it suddenly stretched its wing. The whole thing lasted maybe 5 seconds. Broke my heart when I saw the clipped wing... One day I'll learn how to repair such things in PS.
