Cracking pose Dan; personally Id lose the bullrush to the left as I find it distracting though I am fan of showing environment and things as seen (the tallest stem only)
love the colors<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setT imeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Splendid shot of this elusive little bird. Great calling pose, and he's sharp as a tack. Beautiful marsh environment, but I agree that the cattail is a little distracting and might be done without. A vertical could also work nicely.

Perfect ! I like the contrast of the color of its beak against the BG color.

Nice shot! You did well with the low light. Not crazy about the composition.

Dear Dan K. Earl :),

Like the sharpness and the singing pose. Not fond of the boxy crop. Perhaps some off the top and some off the bottom????

I love the energetic singing pose, exposure, and sharpness. I love the cattail fibers on his head, like the other comments I wish the stalk on the left was not so bold, otherwise the Bg is great.

I really like the pose and the perch, I have never seen lichens growing on a bull rush head before, I like the background with the exception of the OOF bullrush to the left, I understand why you left it there and under such circumstances I probably would have too.......but having said that I think the image would look terrific without it.

Nice singing pose, and I even like the debris on the wren's head:S3: Like the others I'm not crazy about the dark cattail stalk at left. I do like the OOF grasses and flower.

Thanks for the comments. It was kind of a difficult crop, There were a number of cattails, I cropped some out but
didn't want to rid of all of them, i will work on it again.

Hi Dan, I like the singing pose, together with the hint of the tongue. The little guy is nice and sharp, good detail, and would maybe take a bit off the top. I agree with the others that the large OOF cattail is a touch distracting.
