Yves, nice portrait shot. Whites are well handled. I would have liked more canvas at top, but I see it is full frame.

Yves,

Another very expressive shot, I might consider cropping the "tree trunk" out and possibly toning down the OOF grass by the snout.

Hi Yves, the detail looks better on this image, but think you would have again better detail in the eye, as that is the focus point of the image. The colour of the fox I feel does look a little flat, so perhaps a little selective vibrancy may help? Adding some selective sharpening & applying some NR to the BKG also makes a difference, also taking out a little colour cast in the whites too. Would agree with Roy about a hint more space above and personally look to reducing the blades of highlighted grass at the foot of the image, simple to do.

Yves,
Nice image of a curious fox. Lot of good suggestions by Roy and Steve.

Thank you for your comments!

I have recently participated in some photo contests where it was mandatory NOT to manipulate digitally the photos. I want to try this avenue in my present photos during a certain time. This is why even if your technical suggestions of improvement are good, I prefer to show the photo as is.

Thanks!

Yves,

Thanks for the explanation, these sort of rules make for a tough contest:S3:
