taken early this morning,lighting a bit over cast,and I would have liked a bit more of a head turn,but it would not move its head my way.cannon 500m IS L USM,7D,TRIPOD,FOCAL700MM,CROP,SHARPEN.ISO400,F5.6, 1/80S.comments good or bad thanks.

Pretty image. I really like the rocks he is perched on. Good IQ.
I, too, wish for a bit more head turn.

Nice setting but a tough one as too high and you get rocks in the way in the background, and too low and you introduce some in the foreground. You reached a good compromise here. I think the image could use a bit of CCW rotation, and I agree on a better head / body angle. That is a low SS, don't be afraid to raise the ISO to 800...even with the 7D!

Hi Chris, you have brought out the feather detail nicely, and good IQ for such a slow ss. Good exposure on the whites. The angle works well, and agree on both some CCW rotation and NR on the BG.

I too go along with the aforesaid - especially increasing the ISO, I am as guilty as anyone for trying to keep it low!

Nice soft feather details. Excellent choice of shooting angle and DOF coverage. excellent work in low light.
