Lovely; interesting leading line to the mountains. Some type of old tire tread?

Hi Jay, thanks for comment. I am sure these leading lines were due to heavy rains in the area. I recieved your e-mail, will get back to you later this week with some idea's on a SA trip, sound like a dream trip Jay, lots of travelling Wow, wish I could do something similar one day:5

Beautiful rich colours and great IQ. Would love to know what the marks on the sand are as I'm not sure they add interest or take away from the ripples in the sand.

Love the color contrast Vivaldo. I too am not find of the "tracks" but they do lead you into the frame. I hoep you took plenty from other vantage points as the environs look fantastic!

Stark beauty here Vivaldo. Love the whole idea, the vivid red contrasted with the vivid blue, the lines and patterns...lots of eye candy going on here.
The 'tracks' look odd but not totally unnatural to me. I think the small curves of the dune would've been enough to lead the eye if the 'tracks' weren't there, though :t3

Everything really works well here. The good leading lines of the sand ripples. Side-lighting to bring out the ripples. Great color of the sand. Minimized just right sky.

Regarding the track-like impressions in the sand - for me this is a discontinuity that distracts rather then adds to the image.

Hi Vivaldo - I'm late to this one. Beautiful colors in both the dunes and the sky. I think the tracks detract because they have become the focus of the viewer.

Rachel
