Image was taken one very late afternoon, Glen Eden beach, Eastern Cape. No filters was used, sunset had this amazing pastel blues and pinks, for about half a hour before the sun actually set.
ISO 100, F16, 1.2 sec exposure. Taken with a Canon 7D and a Sigma 10-20 (very old version :bg3: )lens. I did add some vibrancy and saturation to the image in pp, not quite so brightly pink as in the end product, but close.
Any crits, comments and tips highly appreciated.

Hi Charissa, very simple comp, but very effective. I like where you placed the horizon. The line of incoming waves gives us a sense of place and the foreground water is lovely. Works for me :S3:

Hi Charissa, love the composition, it work very well as it plain and simple, very nice indeed. I would tone down bright spot RHS and in the sky. I would also add a bit more contrast using LCE sharpening TFS:cheers:

Thanks Vivaldo. Not sure exactly what bright spot, or are u referring to the whole area RHS? Also what is this LCE sharpening u are talking about? Appreciate all the help i can get, thanks man.

Charissa you will find Robert lesson's on adding contrast http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/24075-Image-Contrast-and-Tonal-Range-Tweaks-by-Robert-Amoruso. The brightest spot on the RHS of image could be toned down slightly.

very ethereal mood here Charissa, amazing colours!
it works well, though initially I wanted 'something to focus on'...:t3
you could have kicked a rock into view :w3

Vivaldo has shown you the links - Robert's tuts are a good read and very good steps to tweak to your liking and build into your workflow...

Thanks Jefferey and Morkel, appreciate.
Morkel, there was no rocks, no sticks (think Pottie, ODP :) to kick or place anywhere. And i don,t carry them around for a rainy day......:) Beach was as clean from both, as u seldom see in SA. :)
I will certainly go through some tuts here. Always nice to be taught something new.

Charissa,

Works great for me - I create images like this myself. LCE won't help here as there is no detail to enhance which is AOK.

Very surreal image with just enough to keep the eye fixated on the whole scene........Agree with Vivid with regards the RHS 'bright section but thats only a minor.........yeah , was thinking about that "stock stick' that seems to be around that area often :t3
