This fine specimen of a "Deer Beast" posed nicely for us in Addo Elephant National Park, South Africa, 15th April 2012.

Hi Ken, good DOF, and I like the detail on the head and horns. I also like the layered BG.

Ken,

Stunning IQ with exacting DOF.

I love the "dead pan " look. The horns, eye contact, pose, rear legs sort of relaxed, but a ready to get going posture. The oof flowers up front help the eye to focus on the deer itself. With just enough room for the virtual feet, the horns have room as well, it is a nicely rounded image. Perhaps a bit brighter or more contrast for pop perhaps.

A keeper none the less.

Ken - I like this one as is. Nice to see another different animal and the IQ looks good.

Lovely pose out in the open. I like the colors and inflorescens of the grass. A bit tight for me top and left.

Lovely details in the soft light, and a nice pose. Love these guys, very quirky. :bg3:

My first thoughts as well. It needs a bit more space on the LHS with some perhaps taken off the RHS for better 'balance'...:Whoa!:
