Bat (species) ?

Workshop: Bill Forbes Pond, Amado, AZ

D800, 300/2.8, ISO 640, f18, 8 sec, Multi Flash, PhotoTrap triggered.

Spent a few great evenings with the group doing bats under Bills guidance. What a great and addictive experience.
Besides all the wonderful birds that come into the pond during the day, it was such a treat to try something different. I highly recommend visit to the pond for both the birds and bats.

Good to see you venturing in here, Alan. :5
This looks like it was a lot of fun (and a lot of preparation). Great timing and illumination on the wings! Detail looks immaculate.

Excellent image! Here is a repost with reduced brightness which I think helps to give it a less flashed look.

Just great Alan, the reflection is very nice, Ofer's repost does look very good, but the shot is about perfect.

Alan,

This sort of set up is much too complicated for me, but has produced a great image. I think Ofer's repost improves the overall lighting.

WOW and Ofer's repost takes it to a new level.Love the open mouth and direct oncoming flight path.
I wish all the reflection was included but that is a minor nit,
Gail
