Hi John,
Overall........I'm kind of lichen it! Couldn't resist........I've debated wether you need all that space on right....as it centers the composition......but take some away............and it doesn't seem to work. I'll let others chime in with opinions on crop. Maybe a little more light on the branch.but otherwise nicely presesnted,
Roman

For me the 2 tone BG and the cool green of the lichen make the image, I think Roman has it right with lightening the branch, that would be great.

I think cropping from the left would look great also.

Great image John,
Like the composition and the balance of colors between the blue and the green...:)

Thank you all for the kind comments. Yes, the green color with the 2-tone blue background makes the image. Like you I am not so sure about the composition. So, below are two versions - one cropped from the left and the other from the right. An additional benefit of these crops is that it moves the gradient transition in the background higher in the frame. Which do you like best?

Big Thanks! JR

I kind of like the first repost, but I think you cropped too much :) wish that small sprig of lichen wasnt cut in half.
