A last light grab shot as I was leaving my location. The bird was singing his little buzzy song, happy as could be to have me pull up in my car and take his picture. Different lighting style than is my norm, but one that I want to explore further for its dramatic effect.

1/1000, f6.3, ISO 800
Canon 1Dmk4, 500 f4 + 1.4tc + blubb from car as blind

Love the sidelight. The greenery really adds and "cups" the bird well,

Very nice light and nice DOF.
Nice to have the juniper sharp in the FG.
Attractive little sparrow.

Grace, excellent shot. Loved the light and BG. Sun angle and bird angle go hand in hand and that is why this works so well here. liked the perch as well. Details, exposure, pose...awesome shot.
