Another shot from Elephant Head, and another species that I've got a large number of in my yard but have yet to get a good photo of. I love that single black crest feather and the sound that they make!

Excellent sharpness and detail, nice pose and BG. Looks like light was a bit harsh. A bit big in the frame for my tatse.

Doug:

sharp, nice details, great plume, pleasant BG, interesting perch with almost perfect color match to bird.

If you have the canvas, I could see moving it slightly to the right

Cheers

Hi Doug, diagonal perches always work well, and I like how the pose follows the line of the perch. Good to see the variety of colours, sharp, and stands out nicely against the smooth BG.

I have sunbirds in my yard, which I dont have a single image - part of my house would be the BG. :e3

Great bird, perch, BG. I agree it is tight in the frame but I like the comp as is.

Excellent detail and exposure, fine pose, it's a little tight in the frame for me too.

Hi Doug,
I like the diagonal perch. IQ is excellent. Great BG color. I would like to see it marginally less tight,
Gail

Great sharp shot Doug! It would be nice to have more canvas on the left, but I'm sure there's a reason you frame it that way.

Love the perch and complimentary pose. And the detail. Nicely captured. I tend to like tight comps, but it would be an equally fine image if a little looser, I suppose. One day I hope to get out there and see these guys.

Always a joy to see this species either here or in the flesh !! Agree with looser crop suggestions ...great pose and perch and BG very supportive.
Best regards
