Solar Eclipse from the Desert Southwest

It turns out that my hometown of Albuquerque was the place to be for the annular solar eclipse. A friend invited a group of photographers over to his place and we set up our gear, enjoying appetizers and drinks while we waited for the main event. I'm happy to say that the eclipse delivered on all of its promise! This image was taken with the 5D Mark III using its cool new multiple exposure feature (this is a single RAW file).<embed id="application/x-exifeverywhere" type="application/x-exifeverywhere" width="0" height="0"> Credit goes to my good friend Keith Bauer for coming up with the idea and figuring out how to do it in the days leading up to the eclipse. BTW those are sunspots, not sensor dust bunnies! Enjoy!

hey this is cool! I assume you moved the lens fractionally after each "exposure" to get all in the frame without overlapping, but still having to fit it all into the frame was a challenge in itself I would imagine!
