I concentrated on these guys this spring and was able to get several I liked.
This one is the most unique and wanted to get feedback from those with more experience.
At first glance it almost looks like the reflection is better focused than the bird, but it's not if you blow the raw file up to 100%.
This was also at Bill Forbe's Elephant Head Pond just before sundown.

Such an otherworldly and magnificent reflection!

I think it just looks like that cause the reflection is so perfect due the calmness of the water.
When my reflections looks as good as yours, I'll print it out and hang it
upside down so the reflection is on top. Then see how many people I can fool.

I like the reflection, light, colours. As posted the face seems soft compared to the body, and I would like a bit more room top bottom and right. A beautiful bird and you did its plumage justice...

Interesting mirroring you present here, agree with Daniel about the sharpness of the head.Overall the colors are too intense for my taste, especially the blues.

I would title the post "The Quail Narcissus". Very good capture.

Thanks to every one. I selected the head and ran 3 usm masks on it and I think it looks better. The water color was the blue so it doesn't bother me. I may try to add some canvas as well but it's a FF capture.
