I took a shot at this Great Grey Owl today. I was waiting for it to fly, but it didnīt.

Hi Gregor.

It's great to see you posting here again. And what an interesting image you have. But it might be better if you consider two suggestions.

First, I think you have too much extraneous imagery, that detracts from our appreciation of the owl. For example, the blurred tree and everything to the right of it don't help in my opinion. And the image seems a bit dark to me. If you fix those two things, it might be better.

I've tried to do that in this repost; cropping and brightening a little in Photoshop.

But thanks for sharing this interesting owl image.

Wonderful mood and atmosphere created here, i agree with norm on cropping this but I would still keep it horizontal and only take some from the top and left of the frame

Don, did you mean right of the frame? I like the tree trunk at left...

Anyhow, I agree some cropping would be good, but I like the forest feel of the image. Always fascinating to stare upon the eyes of these beautiful creatures.

Thanks a lot for good comments. Iīm trying to listen. Here is the same owl from this morning. This time I think with a little better IQ and less disturbance.
