Amazing texture and detail on this really interesting subject...Tail clipping is a bit of a problem for me.

Sanjeev.

You are correct the tail on these is far too long, I have had the same problems myself.
You could of course try to clone out the clip, it works quite well if you are careful, can I also suggest if IQ allows and it should trying to lighten the face a little

Samjeev - I agree that I wish the tail wasn't clipped. Also good suggestion by Ken to lighten the face a bit. The IQ on this looks better.

Rachel

Hi Sanjeev, well something has clicked, this is far, far better than recent posts, the PP looks really good now, so well done :w3 The subject has detail, sharpness & clarity and overall a nice looking shot. The clipped tail & composition are areas you need to be aware of, however they are things that will come in time the more you photograph, as I have mentioned before. Again, lifting the face from that shadows is stuff you will know instinctively and will do automatically in the next few months. Nothing really to critique as this for me has shown a big step forward in your processing.

Actually just looking at the EXIF data, just try & keep your SS slightly higher, you had the ISO, but a slight increase in DOF too would't have hurt.

I agree with Steve wholeheartedly here...great leap forward in terms of processing and overall image quality (IQ) here, Sanjeev! :5
I also don't like the clipped tail much, but it's something most of us sometimes forget about or neglect when in the heat of the moment.

Thanks Morkel and Steve. Am elated that you liked my improvement and progress. I am leaving for Kenya and Tanzania tonight and will be back after 2 weeks, so wish me luck with sightings and weather :-) Steve, your tips on the African safari that you gave earlier will surely help! Take care.
Cheers
Sanjeev

Hi Sanjeev, a little late, but you are more than welcome and I hope you have a safe & fruitful trip and the skill set you have learned & picked up from being here can only add to a successful trip. Like others, we look forward to seeing the imagery on you return, but one piece of advice, DO NOT, edit, delete or process your images to quickly when you get back, park it for a couple of weeks, then do it. As you can make some errors of judgement as a good & respected member did about 9 months ago, :bg3: take your time as we will still be here.

All the best.
Steve
