Anther shot from James Shadle's Hooptie Deux! Can you tell I had a great day!
This ibis was picking up sticks and this particular stick had seaweed stuck on it. He shook it off eventually

Interesting shot, nicely exposed, composed and sharp. The water droplets add to the action. My only wish would be to see both feet.

Real fine shot. Great comp. and exposure , which is not easy on these birds. Sounds like a great trip.

Nice stick, head angle, and great detail in the glossy black feathers. Would love it if it had been up on top of the sandbar instead of behind it. The seaweed looks more like a rotted fish carcass of some sort....

Gail:

Unusually good display of the glossies subtle color pallet. Well exposed, sharp.

Agree about wishing he was on top of the sand bar.

I would consider a minor crop from the top.

Interesting stick/stuff.

Cheers

Great capture. What wondeful colors on that bird and you exposed them perfectly.

Hi Gail, the Glossy looks like he was having a fab day too. :w3 Its always good to capture extraordinary behaviour - adds interest to an image. You have brought out the iridescence nicely, sharp, and I would move him into the frame a touch.

Great catch, Gail! Love how the water is dripping from the seaweed and stick.
