Black-chinned Hummer ???

I'm guessing this is a female black-chinned hummingbird...what do you think? Image taken recently in South Texas. Flower is from a Mexican Olive tree growing nearby.

Beautiful image James! I like the wing position, sharpness and flower. Another vote on removing the sliver of white flower on the left side.

the techs and comp work really well.the only thing what making this image not that good,is this really artificial looking BG.at least for my taste.may be if you tone it down and/or desaturate would may be work better.

the BG is just too uniform ! looks more like a studio shot.

Really like this. Agree with the comments about the clipped flower on the left. Just wish we got Hummingbirds in England.

Excellent shot James, great flash work. Good wing position and sharp. I have seen juvenile and female rubythroat hb look just like this here in S MS.

Thanks everyone and Jack, I've looked in my Sibley, but still not sure which species this is, we have both Ruby-throated and Black-chinned males at the feeder now so I'm still not sure which female this is...no real defining characteristic that I could spot.
