A scene I captured in a local forest back in 2010...only got round to processing it now.

All comments welcome - this was a tricky one to blend right so that it looks natural but exhibits the same lush, tranquil feeling I experienced looking at it.
(Brought up the shadows some, Jay! :t3).

We are off to the Drakensberg mountains for a few days so excuse my inactivity on the forum while I capture some new landscape images! :tinysmile_shy_t:

Techs:
Canon 7D with 10-22mm USM
f22 @ ISO-100
Blend of 3 exposures using luminosity masks

Nicely done Morkel , not always an easy scene to capture. Blending sure does make these scenes more of a challenge to capture :)

Morkel - very different from your usual landscapes. I like the lushness. Nicely done.

Hi Morkel, I like this a lot. You handled the scene very well with the sun coming in from behind the trees. Love the foreground fern.

A different type of image for you Morkel - meaning the locale and/or subject.

I think you did a good job handling the contrast extremes. An overcast sky or early/late light is always best for these types of scenes.
