This little Snowy was fishing in a shallow fast-flowing stream, and it caught a nice one too as I watched, but in a spot I could not get a photo. The morning was fairly overcast, however, the Egret image showed two hot spots -- on the top of its head and its shoulder, both of which I recovered in LR3. (I had no more room at the top of the photo, by the way)

As you have mentioned- a bit tight on top . I wish for a lower POV on this guy as well. I like the feet visible through the flowing water.

Gail, Thanks for your critique. As is so often the case, the terrain between me and the bird did not permit a lower POV . . .

I'm going to agree with Gail, but I know it was not possible to go lower. Sometimes I just hope for the subject to come closer for portraits in a case like this. Neat to see the "golden slippers" through the water.
