Dumay,
Thanks for your comment
Andreas,
Not really sure what you mean, but I really think that lightening the eye will have little effect as it is largely hidden by the eyelash

Lovely detail here Ken...I'm fine with the crop but often with tight ellie shots I prefer it more having the whole ear in (wish I did it more myself! :e3).
It sure looks nice and green there - every time I've been to Addo it's been VERY dry...

Hi Ken, excellent detail captured on the ellie, and well timed to get the drinking pose and drooling water. I can see where Mork is coming from with regards to the whole ear, but I still like your comp as is. Great green BG.

Ken - nicely done. I think I too would have preferred the whole ear but like the detail and color here.

Ken,
Excellent image and story teller. May be full ear may add a little bit to the image but personally I like the tighter crop maximizing attention. Exceptional job.

I would have got the whole ear if I had a 200-400mm but I am still waiting:w3
Personally I am happy with it as is because the alternative would have been having no space for the trunk and tusks.

Possibly for adults, but I still prefer the baby images
