Fine job of replacing the BG. Nice comp. and detail. Might just tone down the perch a bit.

Nice bird, sharp as posted, and nice composition. I do wish for a better head angle though, and you could see if you could recover a bit of detail in the tail. Did you replace the whole background? Good processing job whatever changes you did...

Agree better HA would be better.
Yes the whole background was replaced in CS5.
The quick selection and Refine edge with masking seems to be my favorite way at the moment for this type of situation.
