I went back to the refuge today, hoping against all odds to get a better view of the Albino Nutria.
Great luck, I found it swimming in the slough, not great light but i got a much better photo.
The Wildlife staff at the refuge is aware of it, no one knows how it has survived to adulthood.

Another neat shot of this critter. How does something stay so white swimming in that green water :Whoa!: ?

Hi Dan, I really like this because of the setting/environment & content, it's just so natural. The comp works very well, likewise the low angle. He/she seems to be quite happy with your presence allowing you get so close. There is more detail you can extract from the image giving greater depth to the overall presentation, especially in the subject. Just some adjustments in tone & clarity just takes it to where it needs to be.

Looking at this, whatever you may have changed in your workflow has certainly addressed any colour issues as discussed previously.

Dan I don't know what it is, but this just screams Wildlife to me, love it. :5

Nice image and an oddity for an albino.

Steve,

Nutria is an invasive species in the US originally from South America.

Dan - I like the pov here and the comp and colors look good. It is amazing that it has survived.

I echo Steve here...very natural image that is quite compelling without any gimmicks.
Nicely exposed too and colour looks great.
Question: are you using a 600mm prime now or 300mm + 2xTC?

Thanks for the comments.
Morkel, it was a 300 f2.8 vrii w/ 2x.
I should have noted that.
