Hi Jon, the Jay has posed nicely for you, and showing off his acorn to you. Good sharp detail on the head and beak, and just a hint of tongue visible. Lovely greens of your grass. Does it need mowing :bg3: :bg3: :bg3:

Hi Jon, I know how shy these Jays can be, so well done drawing him in. Perhaps you could try getting him on a branch above the grass for a softer background.

Nice job with the details. Agree with Gerald on future ideas if you have room for some perches in your garden.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, strangely enough I had just been photographing the bird on a hollowed out stump and I had placed thyme in front of it but the bird kept landing so half it's body was hidden. I will try a different perch.
Stu I cut the lawn the previous day but we have had such glorious weather it grew three inches overnight:2eyes2:
