Outstanding IQ, Dumay and a neat pose.
I think it is straight although the beach horizon is not. Maybe some rotation just because of the perception?

excellent pose and IQ has rendered an interesting image of this common bird.
does it need cw rotation?

Super quality image great details in all tonal ranges. I too think it needs rotating a few degrees.

Thanks guys. I will look at the rotation...The beach did have a steep gradient so I was trying to keep the image looking the way I remember capturing it. Thanks for the thoughts and comments!

Hi mate, well timed to capture the open beak, and great to see the protruding tongue. You have nailed the exposure on both whites and blacks, and overall nice and sharp too. Great OOF surf BG.

Hello Dumay
excellent IQ you present here, like the colors and the detail in whites and blacks.i would make no rotation.
Cheers Andreas

Dumay, excellent exposure control here. Open bill with tongue out and perfect head position. Low angle and all...its a winner.

A great example of not knowing when or when not to rotate. I do think the bird looks standing straight but it is a little distracting with the angle. Great bg and exposure and I like the open mouth.

Perfect as-is. Suits the eyes better than fine. In my most humble opinion, a rotation would diminish this excellent image. A very handsome gull and one I hope to snitch some day!

cracking low angle and IQ here mate, love the open beak!
I'm also 50/50 on rotation here...perhaps just a slight one, keeping with the vision you had but making the strong diagonals weaker?

Just loved the low level shot and the lovely yawning pose .
